Whilst on my weekly laundromat adventure (on a good week that is), i happened across a mysterious little store.
Tucked away behind a front of vintage wooden furniture, cacti and a 50's television set flashing forgotten moments, i discovered a collection of art, pool decks, dvds, sweet threads and some wickedly beautiful vintage and vintage inspired surfboards.

Rhombus Surfshop is a sweet little joint i could see myself devoting my wallet to, if only we lived in a world where lint and old receipts were considered fair currency.
The good fellow behind it all, who goes by the name of Angus, was ever helpful and informative when it came to talking Victoria's surf spots and some up and coming cultural happenings.
After chatting further, it was agreed that i would have the opportunity to design the ever present and important signage for the change rooms.
Here's the piece of weathered timber i was handed when i was put to the task. It looks like it could be an old boat rudder...
And some of the thumbnails i sketched up below.

The final mock-up...
Work in progress, burner running hot, to the sounds of Om...
Halfway there...
And 6 hours later we've finally made it.
Finished and ready for Rhombus Surfshop.
Angus was super stoked and has in turn commissioned me to create the store-front sign!
Fuck yeah!
Peace cats xo
